Lumina Bible ("the App") is a Bible reading application. We built it around a simple principle: your spiritual life is private. The App works without an account, and we collect as little data as possible.
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers (we do not operate any user-data servers):
Deleting the App deletes all of this data.
Scripture text is fetched from the public getBible API, which serves public-domain Bible translations. When a chapter is requested, your device's IP address is technically visible to that service, as with any internet request. We do not send any personal identifiers with these requests.
The free version shows a single banner ad served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Where required (e.g., EU/EEA, UK), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you may choose non-personalized ads. Purchasing Lumina Pro removes all advertising and the associated data collection.
Lumina Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases; it receives a pseudonymous purchase token — never your name, email, or payment details. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple/Google.
If you enable the daily verse reminder, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No push-notification servers are involved.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The content (Scripture and traditional prayers) is suitable for all ages.
Because we do not hold your personal data on any server, requests such as access or deletion can be fulfilled by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. For advertising data, see Google's privacy controls at myadcenter.google.com.
We may update this policy as the App evolves (for example, if new features are added). The latest version will always be available at this address.
